OnCore Golf’s team was fired up this week as a winner of $75,000 from Arrow Electronics’ Flash Funding program.  OnCore is incorporating advanced sensor technologies with GPS chips to deliver, for the first time ever, actual on-course ball performance data.  With the Arrow award, OnCore’s crowdfunding campaign has now raised over 300% of its target – an amount that will allow the company to complete prototype development and prepare for commercial introduction in mid-2018.

Following the launch earlier this year of its successful tour ball, the ELIXR, OnCore is now addressing the growing market demand for a smart ball that provides players with a complete view of on course performance including ball location, strike force, trajectory and spin rate, just to name a few metrics. The information will be displayed on mobile phones and web portal for review and comparative analysis.  It also integrates to social media platforms for players that want to share their best moments on the course.

Robert Samuels, the President of the newly-formed Genius Ball subsidiary said, “With Arrow’s contribution and ongoing public support of our campaign, we are now in full development mode and will have a prototype in place before the end of Q2.  The interest and potential applications for a ball with these unique capabilities has been beyond our expectation so we are anxious to bring this to commercial fruition and get golfers everywhere playing with the ball and learning more about their game than ever before.”  www.geniusball.com
