Project X HZRDUS Black delivers insane distance for the stronger and more aggressive golfer, without sacrificing control. Featuring increased stiffness along the full length of the shaft that allows golfers to put more power behind the ball, HZRDUS Black is the lowest spinning Project X graphite shaft. HZRDUS is meticulously hand crafted in Project X’s San Diego prototype lab and is available in a driver and hybrid model.
The flex profile is designed for maximum spin reduction and increased stiffness along the full length of the shaft. A high-bending, moment of inertia mid-section can handle the fastest tempos. Specifically engineered for the athletic golfer who plays aggressively from the tee box, low torque provides firm feel and stability for ultimate confidence on the hardest swings. HZRDUS may be the fastest growing shaft on the PGA Tour, with 52 shafts recently in play (PGA and Web.com).
All handcrafted HZRDUS shafts are the same and made and inspected on the same line with all Tour shafts. Black has a large diameter midsection, which increases stability for aggressive tempos. HZRDUS Yellow has a straight taper midsection for smoother swingers and is counter-balanced. Both shafts are low spinning. Black’s unique geometry provides increased stability, especially for golfers with aggressive tempos. Black and Yellow are both targeted towards players looking to lower their spin rates, not toward a specific handicap group. The current design provides lower launch angles, but the company is working on designs for those who want more elevation. HZRDUS shafts are stiffer than previous project X shafts. Black is available in 65 and 75 grams in woods and 85 grams in hybrids.
