Tommy’s Honour delves deeply into the historic roots of the game of golf and the souls of its pioneers, Old Tom Morris and Young Tom Morris. It was filmed the stunning landscape of Scotland as a backdrop. Universal themes like class struggle; complicated family dynamics; rivalry and competition; love and tragedy; are all beautifully brought to the big screen. This highly moving film has received a PG rating, making it a film the entire family can enjoy.
Legendary CBS Sportscaster Jim Nantz said about the film, “Tommy’s Honour is a beautiful tribute to the game. I felt like we were dropped out of a time machine and given the chance “to feel” what golf was like over a century and half ago. For those of us stateside, the extra U in Honour is for YOU to make sure to see this most authentic cinematic achievement.”
Golf Hall of Famer and two-time Masters Champion Ben Crenshaw added, “Tommy’s Honour is a story of champions, a story of faith and a story of pathos. I hope everybody embraces this film, because it is a poignant story that is so beautifully depicted.”
Tommy’s Honour stars Ophelia Lovibond (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) and Sam Neill (JURASSIC PARK). Pamela Martin and Kevin Cook wrote the screenplay, an adaptation from Cook’s highly acclaimed book of the same name, which won the USGA’s Herbert Warren Wind Book of the Year Award in 2007. Keith Bank of KB Partners (HEAVEN IS A PLAYGROUND) serves as Producer and Executive Producer, along with Producers Bob Last of Holdings Ecosse, (L’IULLUSIONSTE, SUNSET SONG), Jim Kreutzer of Wind Chill Media Group (JUST WRITE, LAST GREAT RIDE) and Tim Moore of Top Dawg Productions (SULLY, AMERICAN SNIPER, GRAN TORINO, and INVICTUS).
